
John Quigley is a specialist employment and discrimination solicitor. He is a partner and head of employment law at William Sturges & Co.

John advises a diverse range of businesses and
institutions on all aspects of employment and discrimination law,
and the law relating to trade unions and industrial relations,
including:
- Drafting standard employment documentation including contracts of employment, staff handbooks, policies and procedures;
- Advising on the growing range of issues that can arise during employment such as grievances, sickness, family friendly rights, data protection, discipline/ dismissal.
- Collective employment law, including large scale redundancy and restructuring.
- The law relating to trade unions and industrial relations, including trade union recognition, balloting and industrial action.
- Termination of employment, including suspension and garden leave issues, and the enforcement of restrictive covenants and confidentiality provisions.
- Employment and discrimination litigation in the Employment Tribunals, County Courts, Employment Appeal Tribunal, High Court, and Court of Appeal.
John devises and runs seminars and training courses for clients, and writes regular newsletters and briefing notes on recent developments in the law.

employment, discrimination, whistleblowing, contractual disputes
over bonuses and post-termination restrictions.
